Please call me Mom

I nearly choked at the dinner table when my daughter turned to me and said,

“Sheinina more soya sauce”.

I couldn’t believe ears!

I insisted she ask with proper manners, “Mom can I please have some more soya sauce”,

She persisted with the need for an explanation, “What’s the difference your name is Sheinina”.

My cheeky little 4 year old, “I’m your Mom and you have the privilege of calling me Mom”.

She wasn’t sold, but asking me in the manner I requested was ultimately the only way she would get her soya sauce,

I’m telling you, kids these days!
